The church was built in the 13th century in the Romanesque style, which was transformed into the Baroque style in the 18th century. In 1906 it was remodeled and expanded again.

The tower is the oldest part of the XIII. century building. The other medieval elements are also covered here by the younger reconstruction, but the western gate and towers retained something from the Gothic. Its orientation is a bit weird, DDK. The usual AE direction is thus different. (I was new to the memorial plaque from Mindszent.)
