Szent Kereszt Kápolna

A brief history of the chapel: Vadkert was built in 1847 by the then landlord Antal Lukács. The pretty chapel stands on a small hill, three members of the family were buried in the crypt below: Antal Lukács and his wife and brother-in-law. His patron saint is St. Anthony of Padua, whose memorial day is in June. The classicist-style building is decorated with 5 towers. The cemetery around it is no longer in use today, but is kept in order. It was listed as a monument in 1958, renovated in 1986-87, but its condition again leaves something to be desired. In addition to the two masses of the year, there is not much movement around the chapel - with the exception of the occasional photographers, and sometimes pilgrims and those interested. / VIRA Magazine /
