Balatonkeresztúri Szent Kereszt felmagasztalása templom

Well this is a very interesting place. Carefully maintained church inside and out, plenty of parking for those arriving, apparently the owner of the place. At the same time, a few years ago, he was led by another fairly lined parish priest, whose doormen advised the "improperly dressed" elements from the church. Once, before my eyes, I was not allowed into a full Catholic high school class for Mass because the boys were in knee-length pants (in summer, on vacation). Outrageous, really, atom on them! They come here from Miskolc to humiliate the church, scandal! Since then, the situation has consolidated and a new parish priest has come, whose sermons are also enjoyable. There are no doorsteps anymore, just a sign reminiscent of proper dress. It can be that way.

It was built by the Festetics family and designed by Kristof Hofstädter, from the medieval temple to the foundations of a sanctuary and a ship, between 1753-55 in Baroque style. Its last renovation was in 2006.

This is the most beautiful church I've ever seen!

The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Balatonkeresztúr is one of the outstanding monuments of Somogy county. The cross-floor building next to the main road 7 also received the Our Heritage - Treasure of Somogy award in 2009.
