We do not know the exact time of foundation of the parish, according to a canonical visit in the middle of the 18th century, it was already a shingle-covered wooden church, blessed by Mihály Olsay's wig of Máriapócsi. It is then recorded that had the necessary equipment, highlighted by the iconostasis separately. In 1872, a romantic brick church was built in place of the wooden church, which was dedicated on October 13, 1883. The former church of the wooden church, which was also transferred to the new church, has now left two bishops of St. Nicholas and fragments of the former altar. Toronysisakját The church was rebuilt in 1925, the ship was covered with shingles instead bádoggal 1935. The new iconostasis was created by László Csécsi and Ferenc Papp, who painted Hungarian paintings on the outer side of the triumphal arch, in 1938, by Papp Ferenc on the occasion of St. Stephen's Year. In 1950 a new altar was made. In the second half of the 20th century, the exterior of the church was renewed and in 2014 the whole building was renovated. An interesting memorial is the wrought iron double cross in the church from 1739, originally decorated with the tower of the Greek Catholic Church of Nagykároly.
