The church was Roman Catholic in the Middle Ages, its exact date of construction is unknown, and its Gothic forms date back to the second half of the 14th century. The population was extinct due to early modern wars and plagues, replaced by Greek Catholics around 1700, traditionally coming from around Homonna, who also used the ruined church. A tower was soon built, and due to later alterations, the medieval origin is now only indicated by the floor plan of the church and the dimensions of the sanctuary windows. His Baroque iconostasis was demolished in 1925, when a new construction was planned, but in the end only new altars were made, as a new one had to be built instead of the burnt parish. In 1984–85, a new, two-row iconostasis was made, according to the plans of László Kárpáti, the icons were painted by him. The church has been renovated several times from the outside.

Nicely maintained Greek Catholic church with kind and courteous locals. The interior, close to the orthodox, and the renovated exterior mostly obscure the medieval elements, which is why I put 4 on it (you would get 5 for order!)
