A forgotten valley in the Bakony, it is very good for him to be difficult to walk.

The tourist route no longer essentially exists (at least where the map leads). It seems to have been unmaintained for years, completely overgrown with vegetation, with many fallen trees lying across the former road.

Tight stone Other synonyms: Old Gorge, Old Gorge, Kőszoros Valley. According to its origin, it can be considered as an epigenetic-antecedent gorge, which means that with the uplift in a section of the valley, the deepening of the valley keeps pace with the erosion of the valley, the sediments are sawn through, As a result of the process, a gorgeous valley section is formed. The older misconception that the gorges of Bakony were created by the rupture of former caves, among other things, is false. However, the cave origin of the gorges can be ruled out not only because these valleys are of hereditary origin, but also because only a small catchment of most of the watercourses could have formed in the meticulously fragmented mountains. Watercourses with small catchments could not form caves several km long that could be expected based on the length of the gorges. The morphology of the gorges does not support this idea either, the rock bridges, the sinkholes and the remnants of the former sinkholes are missing. The Old Stream (Öreg-séd) was once a stream with constant water, now it has become a periodic watercourse. However, puddles, wetlands, and wetlands along the creek remain in the creek bed to ensure the survival of some aquatic species, and there are sections in the gorge. In addition, in the middle part of the gorge, on the left (west) side, at the foot of the rocky hillside, spring water also flows at three points, and leaks rather than flows into the valley bed; hence the trough followed so far, so the water flow is almost constant. So we reached the limestone-clay boundary again, and we also found out why water does not seep in on this short section, at the bottom of the riverbed: below it, a watertight clay stretches. 3-4 m before the eruptions, there are rows of sloppy, hollow, spring limestone blocks and logs. They also grow beautiful green plants in winter, because the temperature of spring water in Hungary, like all springs, is around 11-12 degrees, and the resulting water only cools below freezing at a greater distance. The caves of the Bakony, which were not formed during surface karstification, are mainly grouped in the valley sides, so is the valley of the Old River.
