Szent Kereszt plébániatemplom

Wonderful baroque church and former establishment of the monastery building harmonize with each other. A building complex in good condition with Puritan Baroque decoration. Its inner courtyard is covered by a wrought-iron fence, which also hides a Trianon monument. A plaque on the wall preserves the memory of the monks. The only oddity about the imposingly large church is that the tower clock was given a relatively low space, both in relation to the size of the building and in relation to the height of the tower. Beautiful architectural and historical monument!

After the little village mass, it's a huge step up, modernization. The lyrics, the handsfree, the music on the screen ... the parish priest is a direct, sympathetic person.

Ferenc Czindery settled the Franciscans here in 1731, who initially used the wooden church. The foundation stone of the new convent was laid in 1751, at which time the east wing was built. In 1759, work continued with the erection of the south wing and the erection of the walls of the new church began with the construction of the sanctuary. The construction of the church was completed by the end of the seventies. According to Franciscan regulations, then - albeit only of wood - a small tower stood on the north side of the sanctuary. Today's - classicist - tower was completed in 1844.

Beautiful surroundings, reminds us of the Esztergom Franciscan Order, the Temple, which still has a church school operating today.
