On the hill above St. Michael's Church in Báth, Mihály Hindi Administrator-Parish founded Calvary in 1767 at his own expense. They widened the serpentine path leading up to the mountain, built stations, and erected three crosses on the mountain, with images on them. The first stone cross was consecrated on June 18, 1790, by Marton Kovarszky, dean and parish priest of Szekszárd. The chapel, which still stands today, was built in 1863 by the parish priest of stone and brick, given by the parish priest Ferenc Fekete. His simple black-framed altar picture depicts the painful Virgin. There are three crosses in front of the chapel, with Christ in the center, and two lecturers on the right and left. There are 14 brick whitewashed stations on the road to the chapel, with station paintings painted on a plate. The chapel was renovated several times, most recently in the early 1980s. The chapel's commemoration since the 18th century, September 14, is a celebration of the exaltation of the Holy Cross, a celebrated celebration of the village of Báta. This pledge was made during the plague epidemic, which was a forbidding day in the village. Today, it is only on Good Friday that there is a crossroads in Calvary.
