The first school was built between 1735-40, the so-called Cantor school with a classroom and a teacher's apartment. The building on Zrínyi út was completed in 1852, also with a room and an apartment, which was expanded in 1884 with a classroom. In 1897, the church purchased the Gendarmerie Barracks on King Matthias Road, but teaching here could not begin until 1899, in a classroom. The marketplace central school, which was originally a military hospital, provided education with three halls and one apartment after World War I. By the 1950s, almost the same number of school-age children had to be educated in two parts of the settlement. Thus, by September 1954, the 1st part of the settlement was established in the northern part of the settlement, and the 2nd part in the center. s. Primary School, now called Széchenyi István Primary School. This, of course, did not solve the placement of the children, unfortunately the problem of scattered classrooms persisted for almost 50 years. Further expansions were needed as the number of students increased rapidly. Thus, in 1985, 5 classrooms, 1 library, 1 gym, 1 gym were built, and in 1987, 3 classrooms and a chemical classroom were handed over. At that time, a central workshop and 2 technical specialist classrooms on King Matthias Road provide technical education. In 1991, in the framework of a large-scale city ceremony, our school adopted the name of Count István Széchenyi.
