A significant number of wild ducks live in the Eger stream, most of them can be seen along the entire length of the city, yet at this point they tend to "camp" in the largest number. Perhaps this may be due to the fact that the warm water flowing out of the beach area creates a pleasant microclimate, which can make it easier for ducks to find food and get through the cold, especially in winter. It’s interesting how accustomed people are to being close over the years, they can literally be approached at arm’s length. IMPORTANT! Do not feed them with leftover food as they may get sick. Here on the promenade there is a duck food vending machine which, if I know, dispenses food for free.
