Reformed Church

A warm welcome to pilgrims. The church is characterized by a beautiful, well-kept interior and a really beautiful gate in its simplicity.

As far as I know, the southern gate is not the oldest part of the temple, but it is definitely the most remarkable detail. The gate of the church, which has been rebuilt several times from its ruins, is a rare and early domestic example of a typical - statue-like - gothic solution of French Gothic cathedrals.

The entrance of the Romanesque church built in the Árpád era is considered to be the first appearance in Hungary of the colonnaded gate type in France, in Chatres. It was built with a single-seater, straight shrine, and later expanded. Its characteristic entrance is the lava entrance on the south side. In the tympanum above the entrance, originally, "Christ was among the angels" was relief, to which only the remaining remnants can be deduced today. As it still functions as a church, both the building and its surroundings are well organized.
