Thanks to József Walla, a mosaic tile and cement manufacturer who rose from a craftsman to a bourgeois, Törökbálint was enriched with five buildings in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Three of them: the villa on Árpád Street, the castle on Kastély Street and the family crypt in the old cemetery still stand today and enjoy monument protection. The family lived in Árpád Street, at the end of the plot on Kastély Street, at the top of Tükörhegy, the factory had a castle built in an eclectic style, most reminiscent of a medieval residential tower. The real, stone-paved, neo-Romanesque villa with mixed design features, reminiscent of an old monument, was built by József Walla, a tiling factory, in 1902, based on the plans of Ignác Alpár. It is also referred to as a lookout tower because of its tower. It was created in three steps: first the roof terrace, single storey, stair tower section, then the staircase and tower, and finally the traditional part of the house.
