The history of the church / parish begins in 1932. They were in the basement, they converted an old pub into a house of prayer, they finally bought plots of land, which in 1952, together with the chapel on it, were nationalized for the housing estate under construction. After compensation, the pastor puts his chapel back to where it once started, Frangepán u. No. 4 basement of the house (126 m2). The basement and pastoral flats so far have been for rent. Instead, Dr. László Lékai, based on the plans of István Szabó and Pál Borsányi, will build a new church and parish on today's site, which he will dedicate on November 16, 1985.
Renovation work will begin in November 2016. The street front side of the church will be expanded with a new part of the building, the interiors of the parish will be completely changed, facilitating the work of the parish, creating an opportunity to organize larger community gatherings. The entire furniture of the parish and church will be renewed. The construction works will be completed in the summer of 2017, and after the renovation, the Vizogogó church will once again be able to continue lending on a daily basis. Cardinal Péter Erdő, a primate, will bless the renovated church on September 23rd.
Beautifully restored church with a living spirit.
Ceremonies are intimate and spiritual. The parish priest tells succinct sermons that relate to today. Since the renovation of the church in winter and summer it has good internal temperature and even barrier-free (interior lift, barrier-free washbasin with changing table). There is also a space for smaller events on the ground floor, where approx. It can accommodate up to 50 people, but can also be connected to the terrace. During Sunday Masses, this room can be used by families with small children because the ceremony is visible on the projector.
The modern building of St. Michael and Parish Church of St. Michael and Flüell in Tours in Budapest is located on Váci út between the office buildings on November 16, 1985, László Lékai, Cardinal Esztergom Archbishop of Szent Márton, and honor of Miklós Flüei . During the thirty-year-old, a state of deteriorated building began to be refurbished in 2016. The completed church was blessed by Péterbíró Erdő one year later on 23 September 2017.
The modern church is located in Budapest's Vizafogó district, between office buildings. The first organizer was commissioned in 1932, in 1936 the church was built to build the church, but the plan could not have been realized for a long time. István Szabó, Ybl Prize winner and multiple award-winning architect designed the church dedicated to Archbishop Leszek László, Archbishop of Esztergom, on 16 November 1985 devoted to St. Márton in Tours and St. Nicholas of Flüei. The windows depicting St. Martin were painted by painter Zsolt Boromissza.
The church could be considered a stand-alone architectural work in 2018, and in the public category it was awarded the House of the Year award.
