The church is very beautiful. It's just a shame that it's closed so you can't look inside.

Nice place friendly and very friendly people, we were in a church that is beautifully decorated and in recent times has served the current rulers because I have noticed more styles of landscaping and alterations.

It is a very nice place and building that must be seen, if you are near heer now ... Yes, this is a work from us, even if we do not have much ... Many people do not know, even the Hungarians are unaware of the existence, but, this building is a classic Ottoman work, the historical Ali Pasha Mosque. According to the inscription of Evliya Çelebi, this mosque was built by Ali Pasha in his name in the 16th century. The personality of Ali Pasha, the mosque's founder, and his relationship with Sigetvar is unknown. According to the original inscription, the mosque was completed after the death of Ali Pasha. When Sigetvar was taken by the Austrians in 1689, the mosque was used as a munitions warehouse for a while and in 1712 it was converted into a church called Plébania. Its minaret was destroyed by lightning in 1719. In 1789, a large bell tower was added to the adjacent mosque, which was changed into a baroque style. On the inner surface of the dome, Stefan Dorfmeister painted fresco paintings depicting the 1566 Sigetvar War. In 1910, with some changes and additions, the Qibla wall was demolished and a protruding choir was added here. After 1960, the mosque, which was closed to worship as a church, started to be examined in terms of architecture and the structure of the old mosque was unearthed. In 1980, many elements or traces of the original architecture of the mosque were found, plasters of the walls were scrapped and the arches and frames of the old windows were exposed. The Ali Pasha Mosque is a large brick-built structure in the classical style of Turkish architecture with a domed, square-shaped interior that follows a three-sectioned last congregation. As a result of the researches, it was found out that the mosque was located on a marshy land and its foundations were built on piles. Top of the mosque, 13 m in diameter. covers up a dome. This place is enclosed by a rooftop with a high lantern in the middle of this large dome, when there is a church. Although Evliya Çelebi reports that the tomb of Ali Pasha, the founder of the mosque, is located near the mosque, this tomb, which was later demolished, revealed the basic traces during this restoration. There is no trace of the fountain built by Ali Pasha and located on the corner of the bath and the bath. Two marble kurna that may belong to the hammam are in the church. I think that when the restoration was completed and completed in accordance with its original form, the Ali Pasha Mosque would be a structure in the midst of Europe, as a glorious and beautiful work of Turkish art. I would like to thank the Hungarian authorities for protecting this structure and bringing it to this day.

The renovation of the church very well succeed. Though still functioning church door is closed but groups in the parish Church of mögött- may think of a guided tour. The interior is beautiful. The Dorffmeister fresco has been wonderfully renovated. Worth a visit with the main sights.
