We hired a Van for 4 days from Yoga rent a car. The price was reasonable and it was the most competitive quotation we received among the 3 rental companies we approached. Our driver was Muel. he was patient, courteous and professional. We had a great time and would have no hesitation to recommend Yoga rent a car company.

We booked driver for 4 days with this company. The price is absolutely reasonable if compared to other operators. We we're served by Mr. Hidayat and he was very helpful and took good care of us. We we're satisfied with his service and nothing much to be criticized.

Ive made a last minute booking with the company but ywt they revert very quickly.nThe rates are good!nThe services are good!nMy driver is Mr. Hidayat. We had him for 3 days. He have been extremely accommodating and supportive. His driving is steady, given that I am very prone to car sick. Wherever we want to go, once we inform him, he will bring us there. We really enjoyed our trip with him.

Do not book here unless you only need a very expensive drop off. I had planned a tour of the countryside and was told I had to hire a driver to rent a car. Ok this made it expensive but I really wanted to see the country. So I agreed, the reviews had been mostly good. When I arrive at the airport the driver meets me inside, his english is pretty good and he is friendly, all seems well especially as we have three long days of driving ahead. We leave and he asked me to buy gas I agreed having a full tank to start would be good and I pay all gas and tolls but was frusterating the car showed up empty. Frustrated to lose more time as two gas stations were closed and on the way to a third I noticed we were going the wrong way. I politely requested looking for gas on the way he assured me that my map was wrong he knew where to go. After 20 more minutes we got gas and continued I kept growing more and more concerned we were going the wrong way then finally the driver said my way was wrong his was faster to my hotel. I had showed him the destinations on the map before leaving the airport it was very clear where I wanted to go, and yes it is a long drive but it was the whole reason I paid for the car was the drive! There is an airport near the hotel if I wanted to go there faster. To make it worse the car DID NOT HAVE A TOLL PASS so we were unable to use the roads and impossible to reach the places I had hoped to. This was pretty much a scam to steal my money, it took two hours just to get to a hotel to leave me at. Not being able to use the highways you might as well walk and not listening to my directions? Lastly all the locals I have spoken with have assured me the price was more than double what I should have paid. Sad I don't mind paying extra but wanted to just see the three places I paid for. So I lost my money for hotels I never arrived to, for flights to a country I now cannot see, and my time as I will not get it back. But rest assured I STILL HAD TO PAY THE CAR AND DRIVER INCLUDING HIS OVERNIGHT AND MEALS EXPENSE, as well as left their tank full of my gas. All this just to be left at a hotel near the airport where I started some 4 hours of driving the wrong way later. The driver had no maps, the car had no ability to take toll roads, this is a scam at best. I had my map, thank god as the driver needed it to get to my new hotel I had to book after finding there was no way to get to my hotel in time (4 hours lost going the wrong way and no highways makes a long drive impossible). I arrived at 950am and by 200pm had gone nowhere. I cannot speak strongly enough angainst using this company. Make sure to request a driver willing to take you where you want to go not just where he knows or wants to take you and request a car allowed on the highway! Without the highway a simple 30 min trip can take well over 2 hours. You have been warned, trusting this company was the worst mistske I have made, truly ruined my short trip to Indonesia as I don't have enough time to still drive a loop after losing a whole day. I recommend to just arrive and find a local to help you arrange a car or talk with the people at your hotel you plan to stay with. Wish I would not have made the mistake of booking this car. Again if you just need a very expensive drop off somewhere, this is fine, but in no way is it like having your own car, do not expect to go where you want or to make stops along the way or during the trip.nnSincerely,nDavid JacksonnFull Time Traveler

Hello!nnI just got back from Medan myself a month ago, my friends and I (4 of us) booked from Yoga Rent A Car for 4 days from 15 June - 18 June, their service as well as driver was great. The fee we were quoted was 500,000 IDR/day for car+driver, 50,000 IDR/day for driver's meals, and 50,000 IDR/day for driver's accomodation, petrol and overtime paid separately. The driver+car quote is for a daily 12 hour service quote and overtime will be charged as per their terms and conditions, found on their website. For petrol, we paid a total of about 600,000 - 700,000 IDR (if I remember correctly) from Medan - Berastagi - Sipiso-piso Waterfall - Medan - Tiga Ras - around Samosir Island - Menara Pandang Tele - Bukit Holbung - Tuk Tuk - Parapat - Medan - Airport. Parking fees are 3,000 - 5,000 IDR per parking. Tolls are in the range of 50,000 IDR, if I remember correctly.nnOur driver Samuel followed our itinerary and even when we weren't sure where to go, he recommended some places that were pretty decent. As our trip was smack right in their Raya holiday, it was jammed and we ended up going to Tiga Ras ferry terminal instead of Parapat, as Samuel had predicted (with good reason) that it would be jam packed at Parapat.nnHe had a basic command of English but it was enough for us to get around and we even managed to chat with him about Indonesian culture. Overall all 4 of us felt that Samuel and Yoga Rent A Car was great and would definitely recommend!
