(YIA) Yogyakarta International Airport

New airport, 1hour from ygy city

No smoking room at the airport. People have to buy a cup of coffee to access smoking room.

Very nice. Because this is new airport, everything is new and clean. Also the waiting room is the best. You can directly see sea and the plane taking off or landing.nI think this is the coziest airport that I know. Also they have a small market here.

24aug20, visited this airport for First time during pandemic time since it was moving from Adisucipto Airport in the city. It took me 1 hour driving with smooth traffic. To be in safe side.. Prepare for 1.5 to 2 hrs travel time to anticipate unexpected traffic. So.. Travel time almost 3 times normal time from home to Adisucipto.. Cost for online trip around 181K included parking.. It's 3 times cost for me from home to Adisucipto... Its quite massive and proper international Airport building where departure and arrival were separated like other international Airport... At the moment, I am impressed.. Let's see how the government - angkasa Pura maintain and handle for future.

The terminal is very clean and spacious. The terminal design is more or less similar to Terminal Ultimate 3, but there are several different building details too. When I arrived yesterday, there weren't many restaurants open either in the waiting room or in the check-in room.
