Always a great experience for the kids. There's so much to do, you could never cover it all in a day. Membership is totally worth it! We've been members ever since having kids to make sure we're at the level with free parking and a lot of passes for anything. The passes work for sea lion shows, sting ray experiences, carousel rides, and train rides. Children's zoo is gone, but they're putting a new dinosaur experience in its place. They're also building a new small primates exhibit that will include somewhat of a playground for kids as well.nnOn top of all that, of course there are countless animals to see, indoor and outdoor if you need a break from the weather. The food at the zoo is great and they have a lot of fun eats, ice cream, funnel cakes, freezes, the list goes on. They're very family friendly with lactation rooms and family restrooms in multiple places.nnEven without the perks of the membership, it's a great place. Entry is free, and different activities are a nominal fee. The zoo also does many events and even offers different classes for all ages throughout the year. We love St. Louis Zoo!

It's one of the best zoos in the entire Nation! A majority, if not all, of the habitats were open. All of the animals and insects were visible, highly active, and/or feeding. It's one of the most intimate viewing experiences a zoo can provide, especially from a large zoo. It feels like you're inside of the habitat itself! During the pandemic, admission is free; there is a limited amount of individuals allowed in the zoo. Make sure to register for tickets, QR Code online before you arrive on site. Masks are required; there are mask-free zones throughout the park as well. Parking is easy as pie! St. Louis Zoo secured parking is $15. There are also a ton of free street parking spots throughout Forest Park within walking of the entrances. Some of the best things in life are free, and the St. Louis Zoo is an absolute dime!

Probably the best zoo I’ve visited! We were not expecting it to be so gorgeous. All the animals seemed extremely well cared for and they had tons and tons of space/enrichment opportunities. The zoo is also an animal breeding center and does a ton of conservation projects. The staff was extremely friendly and the gift shops weren’t overpriced. Parking was $15. The penguin/puffin exhibit was the best experience I’ve had at a zoo. That alone was worth the cost of parking. You could easily spend 6 hours here. The gardens were lush and manicured. Honestly so much thought went into every aspect of this place, I plan on coming back for a weekend to spend more time here and I live 12 hours away.

Free!!!!! I have been enjoying this zoo since 1968. My parents would always take us four kids.We visited so much we had names for the animals. Such great memories. Father went on to work for the St.Louis Humane Society. Once I got to touch a lions tail. And I saw a leopard they confinscated from bank robbers. I still have black and white photos of the zoo from 1968. The best zoo in the world.

The title of “Happiest Place on Earth” should go to the St. Louis Zoo instead of Disney world. The zoo is beautifully designed with a wide variety of animals. Oh, and did I mention it’s FREE! It’s better than any zoo I’ve paid to get into. Kids love it, adults love it, and even the animals seem to love this zoo. I recommend this place to everyone.
