Colchester Zoo

We love coming to our local zoo especially during these current times. The zoo had staggered times so it never felt really busy. Some of the food outlets were not open but there were plenty of food outlets available to eat and drink at. The zoo has one way systems so our normal route round was different but it was easy to find your way around. I have always loved the wide range of animals on show and we love seeing the lions and tigers!

Was really impressed with the measures that have been brought in to safeguard staff and customers given current guidance. It's requested that you wear a mask when indoors and there are clear markings that provide direction around the zoo with the opportunity to see everything.nEntry times are currently booked in half hour slots to limit the overall capacity but I found this enhanced the experience as it wasn't too busy, even knowing that the school holidays were upon us.

Really well organised for social distancing, a great day out

Great facilities super clean, i would recommended coming to this place. It's definitely worth investing the Zoo pass. They also do extras one in particular is photography days not cheap but great experience.

Definitely one of the bigger zoos in England, went during restrictions so some of the inside attractions were closed but to be honest it was still a good time. Big place, lots to see, friendly/helpful staff, beautiful animals, plenty of play areas for kids. We definitely had a good time and will be going back.
