Toledo Zoo

This zoo is beautiful! The animals were out and about and their enclosures were so nice. It's a beautiful zoo to walk around with plenty to see.nThe aquarium is also great. Lots of marine animals to see. I could have spent hours in there alone!

There is a reason the Toledo Zoo has won awards as the Best Zoo in the United States! An incredibly diverse collection of animals in an urban setting. Small enough to make it easy to navigate for a family, but with enough things to see and do for the full day, and many visits in the future! Constant improvements by the zoo also ensure there is almost always something new to see at each visit. Could not recommend it enough!

Very nice zoo for the size of Toledo. Great aquarium also. They have wheel chair and electric cart rentals outside the zoo admission gate. Which was thoughtful to minimize walking for handicap people.nMy family got an annual membership. We live nearer to Detroit Zoo which is also very nice. We get annual passes there periodically also.

It is a nice zoo, definitely not the worst zoo I've been to. Layout could be better IMHO, just so it flows a bit better. Had a bit of a problem with our zoo discount, we are members of a zoo that participates in a program that gives us discounted admission to other zoos in this program. Because our zoo card doesn't have our name on it(our home zoo plugs in the number in the computer and it ids us) I didn't think they were going to honor the discount. They did solve it though, so that was nice.

Recommend the membership unless you don't plan to visit twice in a year. Not all animals were out during our last visit -- but, neither were the crowds of people. Loved the aquarium and the elephant paddock. Seals we're right at home in the cool water. Can't wait to go back when we can enjoy more sights and sounds, along with warmer weather. Cheetahs and flamingos we're gorgeous.
