Don't go there, the elephants are hit with a metal hook and their circumstances are very bad! No breaks for the elephants, no water during a hot day! Don't support to torture animals! Elephants are not originally from Bali, Elephants are wild animals that belong to the wilderness. Before you can ride an Elephant, they need to go through a lifetime of torture, they won't carry a human otherwise! That's NOT their nature. Not worth it.nWe wanted to try elephant ride. Well.nActually what I enjoy - was only feeding them. There are too many animals in small cages :(nYou feel really pity for them:(nMonkeys have no place to walk and spend all time and life there:(nDuring elephant road - elephant timer was persistently hinted that we need to pay him extra. He said like he with his friend are volunteers and they are saving money to buy food for elephants. I said him, I bought my food as well. But he repeated this information about food for elephants 3 times. I’l tell you what was he speaking. “We have 10 elephants, 3 of them died because of bad food and because there is not enough of food for animals in zoo ”. I was like “ what ? Not enough fruits in Indonesia?He said me like “we have very big competition with other zoo, that’s why we don’t have enough food from market”. Kinda don’t believe this information - because for locals to buy fruits in bulk is cheap.nSo this man had 2 ways to ask money: 1)when he ask it for photon2) when he was telling this sad story about zoo.nThis zoo always has customers, i checked dates - it’s full.But he wants to take money from nothing. Why after paying 80$ for zoo I should pay extra to this man? After this weird story we fed the elephants with our food and after Indonesian woman came to us with fruits(we need to buy) and feed another timeud83eudd26ud83cudffb‍♀ufe0fnElephants are extra cute!nBut one ride is totally enough.

Animal cruelty. Animals are locked up in small concrete spaces with nothing more than a bowl of water. Elephants are hit with a metal cane on the head and you can see blisters and wounds on their foreheads. All elephants are kept together with their harnesses on at all times in a barn the size of a horse one. There are much better places where you can go see animals in Bali.
