In terms of orientation and religious practice, this pesantren adheres to a teaching system similar to that of other Nahdhiyin pesantren on the island of Java. However, the Al-Fatah Temboro Islamic boarding school combines the concept of Tabligh (da'wah) with the concept of the pesantren. This is what distinguishes it from other pesantren.nnThis pesantren occupies a location of 50 hectares in Temboro Village, Karas District, Magetan, East Java. The main objectives carried out by the Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School are to learn about the Prophet, the Prophet's preaching, and da'wah ila Allah, to produce religious experts, to spread Islam to the community through khuruj activities, to improve oneself and to enforce the missionary journey of the Prophet Allah.nnIn the tradition of Islamic boarding school education, kiai are highly respected by students and society because it has become a culture and belief that Kiai are spiritual leaders who become role models in Islam.nnAt Pesantren Temboro, students show respectful behavior towards the kiai in the form of obeying the Kiai's orders, imitating the Kiai's religious behavior, and even discussing their future with the Kiai.nnThis was conveyed by Jailani, a santri who has been at Pesantren Temboro for 10 years in a journal by Arifin (2017: 277) entitled The Authority of Spiritual Leadership at Pesantren Temboro Based on Jamaah Tabligh Ideology.nnThe current pesantren curriculum is designed to not only teach science but also charity to students. Every Sunday, students are required to do a intiqoli (khuruj) one day a week. Khuruj himself is taking the time to totally preach from house to house and from mosque to mosque.nnFor example, one of the students on Monday afternoon did a intiqoli at the village mosque around the pesantren, then returned to the pesantren in the afternoon again the next day. Then for a week doing maqomy (dwelling) in the pesantren. This means that the Al-Fatah Temboro pesantren combines the tabligh practice with the pesantren practice.
