Awesome trip. Best bang for the buck in a while. Definitely leave at least 3 hours to look at everything. Takes about 20-30 min after parking and waiting in line to get in. The Zoo and animals did not disappoint. Def a good way to use a few hours on a beautiful day. Also it is great you can bring a pack with water and snacks and no issue.

5 stars 5 stars 5 stars!! We had an amazing visit. The service from Hannah on the train, and the 2 girls at the ticket booth and carousel was amazing! They gave us free ride bands for my brothers birthday. He’s disabled and Hannah and the carousel director were phenomenal with him and so accommodating. I wish they had more of the exhibits open and accessible, but we can’t wait to visit when everything is open.

I haven’t been to the zoo since I was a kid so I was excited to bring my own kids. We went with my mom and spent over 4 1/2 hours there. My 3 year old really loved the reptile house and trying to find animals that were hidden in their habitats. I think he liked getting a light saber from the gift shop more than anything but whatever. Timed entry definitely made our visit more enjoyable.

Go for the Pandas! This is one of only four U.S. zoo's with Giant Pandas and they have 4! This place is pretty small for such a major city. That being said, it's cute but not super maintained (don't hurt me)... It feels like they don't have proper funding? I enjoyed my time but I was a bit disappointed. Maybe I had my expectations set to high? Loved the Pandas and the zoo keepers were sweet and knowledgeable. This zoo just left me with more to desire. Sorry!nnPro-Tip! Free street parking across the road. Easy walk especially considering you'll be doing a ton of walking anyways. Save a few bucks and spend it on a snack or souvenir.

WOW, just WOW. Absolutely the best zoo I've ever been to....and I'm used to Busch Gardens Tampa and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Breathtaking exhibits. Bucket list kind of place. I saw animals I never thought in my life I would see in person.n***A word to the wise for those that use wheelchairs or walkers, this zoo is entirely on hills, and there are steep paths. I would recommend, as I did myself, to rent an electronic scooter. The absolute best thing, trust me, save your knees and your families from pushing you.nThey just got new ones that hold their charge, are quiet, and handled all the hills with ease.
