It was a low cost budget airline. All the services were satisfactory but the plane didn't have TV screens or any other entertainment source. They also don't offer hard drinks in the air. Only cabin luggage is allowed. Other than that, you have to pay extra.

They cancelled my flight, but categorically do not want to provide a cash refund to my credit card that I used to book the flight. Instead they give me the option to 1) either open a credit account to be used within 365 days or 2) use what they call 'unlimited flight changes' within 6 months, of course, all in an effort to keep my money.nnNot only that. They menacingly say that I can opt for one of the two above choices only once and that should I not act I will lose those choices (with them keeping my money without providing a service).nnNeedless to say, I said that I would be disputing the charge with my credit card company.nnDo not book with them. If you do, you do so at your own peril. I will go out of my way to only book with reputable airlines going forward, but certainly not AirAsia. Airlines need my money not the other way around. Had they done the right thing I would have left a different review here.nnP.S.: No phone number only online chat. First you talk to Ava, a robot. Then eventually 'you are connected to the first available agent'. I literally had to wait nearly 60 minutes to be connected only to have to read what I described above. Fraudulent company. Shame on them. I predict they will go out of business soon. By the end of 2020.

Only if I could give zero stars I would have given it to Air Asia customer service.nnOne of the worst customer service.nnRefund is pending since even before Covid and they make it so difficult. Almost impossible to talk to a live agent. The Bot is very irritating, keeps giving the same answers which don't make sense. And if you manage to get to the live agent they don't have anything to say other than it's in the queue.nnPathetic service. There is not emergency phone number to contact to and they don't stick to their own timelines for refund. Maybe they have an overwhelming response for refund but it's the money taken in advance. How difficult is it to give it back.

You get what you pay for, so cant really complain. 1st time travelling with these guys. Im a full service person (eg; Emirates) but I couldnt be bothered dealing with Melbourne Airport so went to Avalon with Air Asia. I wanted to upgrade to flatbed, but you need to bid for that, so that was a no from me. I found all the optional add on prompts really tedious when booking online. Bonus was the Quiet Zone and a quiet flight so I laxed over 2 chairs in my row and watched a movie, had a meal and snacks, they were ok.

Low cost carrier, flown with them several times especially for flights within Malaysia (they’re almost a monopoly on some routes due to frequency of their flights while other airlines only fly on certain days).nnSeats: Reasonably ok, more comfortable than Scoot seats which are really hard and not good for your back.nnService: S U C K S. Sometimes it’s ok, but the other times they’re not they’re really bad. What do the customers have to do with your engine unable to start for take off, deserve your staff being rude to them, and is it so wrong for customers to use that time to inform colleagues and family or delays? All other airlines allow you to use your electronic devices until plane is ready to take off. Flight also frequently delayed.nnCustomer service: Again, mixed bag, when requesting for cash refund takes a while to process. Of course during COVID19 pandemic they prefer credit but it’s been crickets and no response. Online chat bot is just a way for you to fit into their workflow, basically a chat version of the call routing where u have to press x to do x and go in loops.nnWhy put yourself through a poor experience? Pay a bit more and have a better experience!
