When I came here the terminal was being renovated (though there was no visible construction activity, only the abandoned building was visible) so that check-in and baggage claim activities were carried out in an open space with a roof. Check-in is done in the lobby or terrace and baggage claims are made at a similar place on the other side. Nevertheless, there is still an xray check when checking in. There are also several food sellers such as food courts which unfortunately sell the same food. Hopefully, as the air gate of Yapen Island, in the future construction will be completed quickly and flight frequency will be increased.
