Our driver Putu Mertayasa picked us up at port Benoa after tender from Sapphire Princess. Our first destination of the day tour was Ulun Danu Beratan temple located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains. We witnessed the locals performing rituals and offerings with music. It was quite a wonderful experience. Our next visit was the Sangeh Monkey Forest. Our guide/driver suggested to visit Sangeh instead of the one in Ubud because of the tourist crowd. We had encounters with the macaques resting on our shoulders. It was very enjoyable to interact with the creatures. On our way to Ubud, we visited the Subak Bali Agro to taste the luwak coffee.nIt costs $6 for a cup of luwak coffee. We went to Ubud for a bit of shopping. After that we returned to the port for the end of the tour.nPutu was very friendly and he was very knowledgeable with Bali cultures and customs.nIf you ever have a chance to visit Bali, contact the Bali Driver company for the tour and you will have a great time. It is highly recommended.
