State Library is a true reading enthusiast's center gathering point for reading sessions and is located at the Mall Road. The building's infra is well maintained and is accessible to all during operational hours. It has been spreading reading vibes in the Shimla's atmos and also serving the city in the form of evening college.

The State Library Shimla is one of the two locations of the Himachal Pradesh State Library in Shimla. The library is housed in a neo-Gothic building located right next to the Christ Church. This two-story structure has been designated heritage status as it dates back to the English Era. It was then known as the Tudor Library and is referred as such even today by the older generation of the city. Open to all, the state library houses a collection of 7000 rare books.
