Landscape Lighting by Pro-Cut is outstanding and I recommend Cliff McGinness, the owner, to anyone needing landscape lighting services. He is professional, courteous, prompt, hardworking, knowledgeable, and skilled, and very reasonably priced. The suggestions he made were invaluable. He does not overdo lighting and listened to my need. I am happy to recommend Cliff and his company to anyone; you won't be disappointed.

Don't trust the BBB's letter ratings for businesses, especially ones not accredited by them. They are not based on any personal knowledge of the business but simply on algorithms which generate the letter grades based on...well, that's unclear. Why are they even rating businesses they have no relationship to? We had a horrible experience with a roofer who was rated A- on their site, even though he had only been in business since January. I wouldn't go to them with a complaint either. We did regarding the above roofer, and they seemed like they really just wanted to close the complaint in such a way that it would look good for the roofer. Twice the woman handling our complaint tried to close it without giving us a chance to respond to the owner. None of our issues were addressed and the complaint was not resolved. However, the BBB marked the complaint as "The issues have been addressed, but the customer is still not satisfied." ! The complaint was most certainly not addressed! The owner did not even respond to most of our issues. It seems the BBB just wanted to declare it closed without doing the work of actually trying to resolve anything. We feel like we - and all the other people trusting the BBB - were thrown under the bus. In addition we came to wonder if one or both of the women handling our case (Belinda and Peggy) had connections to this roofer, as they seemed to be bending over backwards to excuse his actions, even when he was clearly in the wrong. For example, our quote clearly stated that pipe flashings would be replaced, but multiple times Peggy and Belinda claimed that the quote did not mention pipe flashings at all. When we finally got angry and pointed out to exactly where it said "Replace Pipe Flashings", Belinda said "Oh, well, they didn't put any sizes down, so that means they weren't going to replace them". Honestly, I have no words for this. If the contract says that pipe flashings will be replaced, they should be replaced. I'm hesitant to say this, but I feel these women are either protecting the roofer, or they are just incompetent. Their communication is TERRIBLE. Phone calls and emails unanswered repeatedly. There is just no communication at all. And forget about having a say in how the dispute is resolved - they decide when it's been resolved regardless of if your issues have been answered or not. We found out after our complaint was closed that the roofer had given them a contract that was significantly different from ours, and which we suspect may have been "doctored" to make things look better for them. We were never advised of this contract so that we could dispute it! Honestly, they are as bad as the businesses they are supposed to protect the consumer from.

The BBB of North Alabama is wonderful! My experience with this BBB has been as an accredited business owner and as a consumer. As a business owner, Pat and Belinda were always there to answer any questions. They helped me identify all the applicable categories and areas served for my business. It was a great fit because our business and customer service principals align with those of the BBB. People in the Huntsville and North Alabama area definitely use the BBB while looking for reputable businesses. As a consumer, I look for BBB accredited businesses before I hire. I unfortunately had an experience that warranted entering a complaint against a company I hired. The BBB was great and very fair throughout the process, which lead to a fair outcome. The business was accredited and was required to work through the issues.

i suggest to anyone that needs a new roof do not use alabama roof contractors of cullman, al. they will not back up their work at all, i had a roof put on the end of march and when we had the two weekends of rain i had a leak into my living room , after trying many times to get a hold of thomas sawyer he said he would come and fix it . well after three times him telling me this im still waiting and its may first. like i said do not use this company.
