KAPPIL RAILWAY STATION IS OLD AND SMALL.ONLY MORNING AND EVENING PASSENGER TRAINS AND MEMU HAD STOPS HERE. BASIC AMENITIES AVAILABLE WITH FEW SHOPS NEARBY.nIF YOU WANT A PICNIC WITH YOUR FAMILY, THEN ELITE HERE TO CHECK THE SANDY BEACHES OF KAPPIL .ON ONE SIDE KAPPIL BACKWATER AND OTHER SIDE SEA WHERE AN ESTUARY WITH FINE SANDY BEACH EXTENDED VERY LONG...

What a beautiful place

If I compare this station with Chirayinkeezhu station I would like to say that Chirayinkeezhu railway station is far better. From its entrance we get a clear understanding about this station. Memu and a few passenger trains stop at this station. Passenger trains time is at the morning and evening. Other trains don't have any stop here. A toilet is avilable at the station. From my experience I could find only limited no of people. Crossing the track doesnot seems to be difficult. Feeling so sad that railway doesnot keep an eye on this stations existence. Comparing with Chirayinkeezhu railway station I cannot say that this station feels good but one could get a calm and peaceful environment and even seems like a little isolated. But Chirayinkeezhu station is far better because the station offers more facilities than Kappil railway station. The platform at Kappil is too small and even have a low height. At night I would not recommend any one to come here. But could enjoy a little scenary since the beach is close to it. The platform opposite to the main entrance has a little height. Anyway I feel so sad about the appearence of the station since I couldn't find any signboard near it.

Small but beautiful station

A small station with stop for all Passenger trains. It was a signal station now relegated. Very scenic area with lakes lagoon a beach temples etc . Bus stop at the station . Bus available to Varkala Paravur etc.. shops are found around the station. Lodging available but at costly resorts, there is no budget hotel at Kappil ,for which Varkala 10kms away will be the best option.
