The Springbuck Homestay

I like this place. Nice homely environment, clean and good staffs. Would like to recommend others to stay.

If anyone is confused about the location,just grab an auto and tell them to drop you near Guwahati central mall at zoo road. There you'll see the road name sign of Lakhmi Nagar path. Follow the google map and you'll reach easily. It's about 4 mins walking distance from central mall.nnNow about the room. It's clean and comfortable. With ac,geyser and inverter. The ambience is amiable. The only cons are, the room service. The entire facility is managed by two caretakers,who are not so professional. The owner doesn't live there usually. But he's quite helpful. If you plan to eat out,then it's the perfect place for you. Perfect and cheap. But if you plan to eat there,it can be a big problem. You'll have to inform the caretakers beforehand for foods, be it breakfast,lunch or dinner or tea. Breakfast and dinner are served around 9 o' clock. Lunch is served around 1:30/2 pm. The foods are really good and homely,not at all spicy or oily. But as I said, they're not professional ones, though they try their best. Language can be bit problem if you don't speak Assamese as they know only broken hindi. But it's manageable.. I stayed there for 4 nights,in one of which the caretaker had some work. So he couldn't make any lunch. Also, I went there amidst corona pandemic. One day he told me,if there's a lockdown, he'll return home and can't make any food. I was really surprised and worried because I had to stay there for few more days for urgent work and if they don't provide minimum foods and the shops also get closed,what I'll eat? But thankfully, lockdown didn't happen. But I found this conduct really unprofessional and a sign of irresponsibility.. I think, if the owner is planning to flourish his hotel business,he should employ professional and permanent staffs with at least basic services like waters for guests or cold drinks etc. There are shops outside indeed but they're costly enough to shock your hand.

The owner Janardan daa is great. Amenities are good.

Really felt like home... Very comfortable and reasonable pricing. Good food. Rooms are clean.. quite neighborhood and nice greenary.
