Naturally beautiful Waterfalls on the way to Achancovil road, covered by forest with streams and small river side.

Kumbhavurutty falls was a great surprise along the route to achenkovil. This one is a hidden amazement deep within the forest.nnWe had to get down at the facilitation center at Kumbhavurutty where we were introduced to the instalment at the plce. It consists of a few huts, interpretation center, cafeteria and the office. These structures were totally out of place interms of the architecture. The facades didn’t really gel with the bucolic beauty of the place. Outright repulsive would be the apt word to describe it.nnBut then we were taken on a 400m trek into the forest. Covering rugged landcapes and crossing undulating stream, we arrived at the beautiful waterfalls. The falls isn’t too high or wide, but yet was a spectacle in itself. The waterfall drops from a height of 10m from above and lands at a tiny pool which then overflows into 3 more pools and then flows downstream. It is said that a few arrogant youngsters have lost their lives playing at the falls. So watch out for some steep and drowning areas. Especially the rocky surface could project a threat.nnAnyhow, from a distance the falls is a great exhibition of the potpourri of nature’s spleandour.

Falls located near the courtallam those who bored bathing courtallam falls you can find nearby falls many like this. Very good fallsand nice pool.

We went to the place in bike and it was an awsome ride,beautiful sightseeing location and it is situated very close to konni forest area and you can see wild animals if you are lucky and it is one among the few crowd pulling waterfalls in kerala.
