Jhalana Safari Park is the best place to witness leopards and many other wild animals. It's a fantastic place away from the city. Enjoy a day from the hustle bustle and evidence the wildlife. You can see leopards, hyena, blue bull, deer, peacocks, monkeys and many other creatures. Come and explore the hidden wildlife area of Jaipur.nnI visited Jhalana Leopard Park for morning safari. I saw deers, beautiful peacocks, different types of birds. Leopard was spotted but it was very far away and was visible through binoculars only. The most amazing thing about this forest I felt is the landscape, very different from other national parks/sanctuaries.nnBooking online is advisable as there are very few seats and at the counter for current booking the chances are minimal.nnAll the hotels/resorts are little far away like 3 to 4 kms but if you are looking for a accommodation very near to the Safari Park ,you can book an AirBNB which is just 5 to 7 minutes walking and is a very good option especially for morning safari. Nearby there is one such option available. They have place for 1 or 2 people as well as a hall for group of 5 to 6 people. Restaurant options are also limited nearby, if you request the host at the AirBnb, they can make delicious home cooked Indian Lunch & Dinner at very reasonable cost.nnIf you are taking morning safari, please collect the boarding pass around 6:15 AM from the counter. This needs to be done in case of online booking also. If you have taken evening safari, you need collect boarding pass around 2:30 PM.nDrivers are playing two roles both of guide cum driver. Hence, they are accommodating 7 people in a gypsy, added advantage if you are a big group.nThere are three zones in the park but you don't get to choose which zone you visit , they take you as per their information of recent leopard sighting. In our safari, we visited two zones.nInfrastructure & Administration is basic and needs lot of improvement & alignment but no doubt this place is getting it's share of popularity day by day.

The Jhalana Reserve Forest in Jaipur is one of the newest wildlife destinations in the country. Over the past few decades, this place has been home to more than 20 leopards. So in May 2017, the government finally decided to declare it as a protected reserve. Covering just 25 sq. km. area, the USP of Jhalana Reserve Forest is that the probability of spotting a leopard is high.nnThings to do: Jhalana Park Safari, bird watching, explore tourist attractions in JaipurnnSpecies to see: Leopards, birds like shikra, white-eyed buzzard, peacocknnOpening/Closing times: 6.45 am – 9.30 am / 3.30 pm – 6.15 pmnnWhere to stay: ITC Rajputana, Red Fox HotelnnHow to get there: The Jaipur Airport in Sanganer connects the city to other major Indian cities. There are several trains that connect Jaipur to other big and small cities of India. You can also take NH8, NH11 or NH12 to reach the city by road
