One among d tourist places in Chennai. Entry fee was 100 rupees fr adults and 20 rupees fr parking. I was able to encounter few rare species of turtles n tortoises n few species of crocodiles n few reptiles... The place is being recreated and also few new stone benches were installed fr d visitors to take rest. They are privately owned and running by trustees... Donations are welcomed, as it was privately maintained place.

A nice place especially for the kids & students to know about various crocodile & tortoise species. The entrance for adult is Rs. 100 and child is 50 (up to 10 years). 3 hours is more than enough to visit the entire park. Eateries is available inside the park where you can get only snacks, hot & cool drinks. Car parking is limited, but can be managed to park on one side of the service road. A suitable place to spend with family for half a day.

This is an amazing place. Quite informative for people who have interest in nature and wild life. Its a must see place for travellers on EC highway. It also runs a co operative for Irula community (Snake catchers) who come there to sell there catch. The Snakes of “big four” family are kept here and are “milked” for their venom. The live show of “milking” the snakes is a must watch program. The park is well kept and is quite shady.
