Born on 23rd July 1906, Chandra Shekhar Azad was a freedom fighter and is also considered to be the mentor of Bhagat Singh. The park is bounded by Darbhanga Colony, Georgetown and Civil Lines. Within the park premises their is memorial dedicated to chandra shekhar azad. Now park is well maintained with beautiful gardens, flowers, walking roads, fountains etc. Many times I visited this park. Some people go to this park daily in the morning as well as in the evening. Park is good for every person, children, here can get fresh air and play sports. The park is open from 4:00am to 8:00pm. They charge you ₹5 as a entery fee. A good place to spend your time with your love ones.Always great to visit and stay there for some time., reminds us what they people have done for us, what courage have they in their young age, what knowledge and plannings they were having at that timenA must visit place in Prayagraj.nCompany Gardens is a beautiful gardens in Allahabad. This Park is now known as Company Garden. In British rule This Park was known as Alfred Park. Here is Car Parking also available. Inside this park Allahabad Museum is situated. has a mig fighter statue at entrance which is good to take photos. In the evening we can have a good get together and picnic. Located centrally in city. Full of greenery on the heart of city. Nicely maintained. This park has held an important event in the timeline of India's freedom struggle from the British. Freedom fighter Chandra Sheker Azad shot himself here after the British tried to capture him. The name 'company bagh' in hindi means Colonial or Company Gardens, was made by the British during their rule. This place is very popular among the locals for its greenery and remains a place for recreation and morning/evening walks.
