Reasonable charges, tasty freshly cooked food.nBoats for bird watching are a bit uncomfortable for city dwellers, but boatmen are polite and cooperative. A must visit place for nature lovers.nAttractions: migratory birds in winter & mangoes in summer.

This place hidden gem in the heart of Bengal. The variety of birds, both migratory and local, is astounding. And they're all found within a foot from one another. You might be just admiring the flora while a sudden movement catches your eye and the most beautiful bird is looking right at you. Even large storks and ibises are a common sight along with the elusive purple heron.
