The owners treat you as a scam target rather then as a guest. Do not accept any help from them on the basis of 'hospitality' as a 'donation' will always be required.nnThe owner also took me on a 'free tour' of the surrounding places and at the end, brought me to a remote village(see Kathleen's review below) where he gave me details of their plight, gave exact figures for the supplies they needed and tried to guilt-trip me to donating a substantial amount to their 'cause'.nnAlso, all the 5-star reviews here seem highly suspect as they are all either from locals(take a look at their profiles) or from Japanese sources(from where one of the owners has relatives staying)

Vistara home stay is very nice place this place also clean and quiet I like this place I am staying 3 days ....... this home stay owner also support me he is very nice Parson...

Iamstay vistas home stay good location clean 5mint walk from canter stap is so kind hot water good Wi-Fi I recommend this place

The hotel advertises itself as being near Mahabodhi temple, which is not true. It is very dirty and the staff are all teenage boys. The manager tried to pull a scam on me to travel to a remote village where I'd be shaken down for money. There were mouse droppings on the opposite bed when I woke up. Run away as fast as possible. This place is reprehensible even by Bihar standards.
