Nice view, especially in the evenings, of the beautiful garden below from the Dam Top. Gentle breeze, mild Sun, beautiful scenery beneath and bluish water behind the dam wall make it a great combination for an unforgettable experience. There's a Safari service also (a made over auto car) if you want to see entire Dam Top.

Malampuzha dam is a great place to visit when you want to feel free and also it's a nice place to roam with your friends too. There are many things to watch and take snaps off!nnThere is a view point at the top lf the Dam at the centre and also there was one telescope tower of the right side of the Dam. It's now abandoned.nnThe Yakshi statue is one among the greatest attractions in the Dam garden.nnBoating is available here as well.nnMany small shops are inside the Dam premises making it even more relaxing.

The foundation stone for the dam was laid on 27 March 1949, by the then Public Works Minister of Madras State, Sri M. Bhaktavatsalam . The dam was inaugurated on October 9 1955, by the then Chief Minister of Madras, Sri. K Kamaraj.
