Situated in a remote place. Good for picnic and get together. Very calm and quiet place.

Very crowded and much hyped. In summers when the river is rather dry all that you would get to see is some rocky terrain and hordes of people. Google map suggests two routes from Phulbani, better check before leaving as the wrong route could mean a very arduous and lengthy journey

Great picnic spot where you can enjoy nature with family and friendsnInterested people can bath also in the waterfall there is proper place with little risk of fallingnYou can reach there with your own vehicle(parking area available) from nearest town Phulbani or from Phiringia blocknPersonally best time to visit is winter so that you can enjoy without too much heat under the sun.

If you have not seen this then you saw nothing. A large multi tiered waterfall yet not that fierce and very much trek-worthy. Elderly and children are advised to enjoy the view from the watch tower. Those who want this beauty to be enjoyed in its fullest form and are fit enough can trek down the fall for about 250 fts. Path to bottom is not that grueling but not easily accessible either.nnFew things to mention :n1. How come Government not promote this place? I found no mention of this place in Kandhamal district website. The place mentioned in website is rather closed by the authorities.n2. Steps have been constructed down the fall but unfortunately up to half way or less. Steps should be constructed all the way down the fall so that everyone can enjoy the fall in its fullest form.n3. Littering by the persons coming here for picnic - They are cooking right around the spot and littering the place left to right. Authorities must build cooking facilities (Pindi) around parking area and strictly restrict cooking and eating around the spot in order to keep it clean and pristine.
