the Daftar Khana at Fatehpur Sikri,ntaken by Edmund William Smith in 1893, from the ArchaeologicalnSurvey of India Collections. The city of Fatehpur Sikri was builtnby the Mughal Emperor Akbar (r.1556-1605) between 1571 and 1585.nThis is general view of Daftar Khana (Record Office) which is ansmall room with a large open projecting window which was Akbar'snjkoroka; where he daily made a publicnappearance.

The Daftar Khana, meaning 'record room', is at the southern end of the former Daulat Khana area of Fatehpur Sikri. It is a small room with a large window open to the edge of the ridge.nAmazing and awesome.....
