Great day out for the kids. The natural history section looks a little dated, but is cleverly laid out and has quite a few hidden gems! The giant walrus centrepiece alone is worth the visit.nThe anthropology displays have been beautifully refurbished and are a fascinating window into the world for both young and old.nThere’s a fantastic little aquarium, a butterfly house and even a few live goats, sheep, alpaca, rabbits and guinea pigs to see.nBy the time you’ve done all that, walked through the beautiful gardens and had a coffee in the gorgeous cafe, you’ll be ready to put your feet up!

I just went to the gardens today not the museum.the garden's is a beautiful space with several things to do in it. There is a very small farm but it is still lovely to be so close to animals such as an alpaca and some sheep. There are some large musical instruments that children and adults can have fun with making lots of sounds. There is also a butterfly house which you have to book to get in but it is well worth a visit. There is also a refreshment kiosk.

Our family loved the Horniman! It took us over an hour on two buses to get to, but once we arrived we were delighted by the natural history wonders. Both if my kids have special needs (Autism and ADHD), and often lose interest at museums, but the Horniman was just the right size to keep them fully engaged for the full visit! My children both loved seeing all of the exotic birds on display, and seeing what the inside of a cat and rat (their two pets) looks like! I loved the culture section, seeing fashion from all over the world! This is a must visit for families with children!

The gardens and park are lovely and beautifully maintained. The cafe is a little expensive - almost £12 for a tasty lasagna and £1.55 for a small tin of water.

One of our favourite places to visit. We particularly love the aquarium and have really missed it during lockdown. The gardens are great. Beautifully maintained and cultivated. Seasonal plantings like pumpkins and squashes are a nice touch. As cheering as the place is, it never seems that busy either. The Farmer's Market is worth a visit too.
