Gold India Beach Resort

Kindly avoid this place. They will treat like you are staying without paying money. If you guys need to fill your tummy please run to beach and take a can of water instead of going to restaurant even for complimentary breakfast. I hope this resort suits for honeymoon couples because there was no electricity throughout the day also if you request anything to staff working there they won't disturb you.

We were on a budget trip to Havelock, and so opted for a Budget 2-star resort for a short stay. Our Tour Operator booked this Resort for us, and I confess that we weren't disappointed. Actually all resorts in Havelock have a Check-In time at 12 Noon, but as we reached at 8 in the morning, no rooms were vacant and a few guests were about to vacate at their scheduled Checkout time at 10 a.m., so we had to wait for 2-3 hours to get a room. Meanwhile we were informed by the Resort Staff to spend time at their private beach. The private beach attached to the resort is indeed good, and you can spend ample time viewing the dead corals and waves. They have kept wooden lounger beach chairs for guests, where you can rest with a view of the grand sea. We were provided rooms at 11 a.m. and then were offered free breakfast which is offered along with rooms at no extra cost. They have an in-house restaurant with delicious food in the menu. The rooms are made of wooden structures with no bricks and concrete, which provides a different experience. Although don't expect any grandeur facilities from it, as being a 2-star resort, it provides all besic amenities with a comfortable stay. The view in and besides the resort is perfect for your photos and selfies. You can also have food in various nearby restaurants. We had a comfortable stay there in an exotic environment.

We reported at the hotel after travelling in the ferry for 2.5 hours.nThe reception or what you call a front desk consists of 03 middle aged men who have no idea what's happening and are the most hostile people to deal with. They made us wait for 03H to give us a room. That room was not made so again made us wait for 02 hours. The room was decent for the price we paid @₹1, 800 per night. However, they didn't have back up in case of power failure. We had to do several hours with absolute power failure or just with fan. Geyser is just for name sake.nNo room service was provided for the 04days we stayed there. There's no laundry facility in this premium resort either. The beach front view is a photo-op/marketing gimmick. They do have a beach facade but it is neither lit up nor is maintained well. They have litter of all sorts there-KF bottles, soda cans, cheeto packets and cigarette butts. The breakfast was survival of the fittest game here. The fact that people acted like they had never seen breakfast was something I had not witnessed. The only thing that made us give this one star review are the help desk staff, they make an effort to resolve your queries but that's all they do. Their so called owner is available to speak to on the phone number available on google. I would definitely not recommend this place if you're going there for leisure/ as a couple to relax. If you're going in as a big family group then this resort gives you a good discount. I would recommend you go for Dolphin/ Senses resorts (a tad bit costly but worth the experience).

Rooms are spacious. AC and non ac rooms are available. The best thing about the resort is the Restaurant. The food tastes heavenly. It's bit costly but the quantity is reasonable. The adjacent beach enhances the beauty of the place. Car rental is available on demand. Overall a very good resort for staying in Havelock Island.
