Went there from 1983 to 1986. My father was posted to the MES Army here from Madras. I was 13 and I studied in 9th std in the KV down below the hill. I used to live a few miles to the right of this library on the same road. I would walk there from home in the evenings and read the reference books. Sometimes I would read the magazines and the news papers. The librarian would not give the keys to some reference books shelves. My dad was angry when I told him that and he went there and spoke to the librarian. After that I had accessud83dude01. The reference books are of the golden olden days and were really really good. I was big into General Knowledge and read a lot. I liked the illustrated science reference books and magazines a lot. I had very detailed knowledge of the US space programs when we were exposed only to Indian and Soviet space programs in newspapers, TV and school. I learnt a lot of physics - outside school curriculum - and about inventors and inventions. These were some of the quitest and productive times of my life. Would like to fly to Port Blair someday and see everything again. Sekhar.
