The campus is in the lap of Dhauladhar ranges and the view every morning is breathtaking.The peaceful life in kangra,the fresh air and bounties of nature are a bonus to the creative minds in college who continuously seek for new ideas around them, away from the busy city life . Personally, love it here .The campus is well equipped and some parts of it is in construction. The faculty keeps rotating among different campuses of nift and we even have guest facilities from NID.

According to me the fees of our course is a bit expensive which becomes difficult for a middle class person to afford. Our college accepts money drafts and online money transaction for paying the fees. We have proper breakdown of the fees structure like tuition fees, medical insurance, activity fees etc.nnPlacement Wingn7/10nOur college guves on campus placement and companies like monte carlo, decathlon, triburg etc. Offers jobs at the placement time. Around 80-90% of the college graduating class have jobs after the completion of the course. Students also have to do internship after every year of the course - 2yr - textile internship 3yr- apparel internship. 4yr- graduation project. In nift students also go for craft clusters where they observe the crafts of India.nnHostel Facilitiesn5/10nYes I have opted for hostel be ause our college provides the facility of girls hostel to every girl in the college on the basis of first come first serve. The boys of the college rent rooms outside the college which are very affordable only 5000-7000 per month. Our college hostel is a triple sharing room with much space and an almirah, table and bed.nnAlumninOur seniors and alumni are very helpful in the college they guide us throughout the course and even after it. Refers us during internships and jobs recruitments. Provide sufficient guidance about the industry and its working and about the different branches of the industry.nnFacultyn8/10nIn our course there 7-8 lecturers they teach different subjects they are middle aged people who are either NIFT alumni or from the garment industry itself. Since they are from the industry only they have a lot of knowledge and experience about the industry and the subjects and how the subjects are applied in reality.nnCampus Lifen4/10nThere is 1:2 boys to girls ratio in our college. The no. Of girls is higher than nom of boys in the college. Our college has different clubs like cultural, sports, literary, photograohy and environmental. Each club has its own memebers and an executive council for the club's working. Also a president, secretary and general adivisor which are elected by the voting of the members of the club only.nnCourse Curriculum Overviewn7/10nWe have around 9 subjects in total in every semester and all over we have 8 semesters. We have 5 major subjects, 1 floating subjects and 2 general electives. In the end of the semester we have exams in the form of juries and some of the subjects are theory driven so written exams. Also the course is practically driven course, we mostly have hands in subjects which provide us better experience for the industry. The campus also offers oncampus placements on the end of our 4th year.nnCollege Eventsn4/10nOur college is a design college so we have many creative competitions during our whole term, different art competitions. Also our college organises navaratri fest in october and also we have an annual nift fest CONVERGE where students from all over nift come to compete in different areas of cuture, literary and sports. And in the month of march we have our own college fest SPECTRUM where colleges from all over india are invited.nnLoan/ Scholarship ProvisionsnNo I have not opted for the education loan my pare ts pay my fees but nift offers the facility of education loan as it has a linkup with union bank of india which offers education loan at low interest rate
