Chatri -Manav Sangrahalaya is stone architecture of Rajasthan. A large intricately carved sand stone Chhatri with number of small chhataries aquired from Jaisalmer.This particular structure is a representation of Parmar style of architecture.

This umbrella, located in the Desert Culture Village in Manav Museum, is maintaining the tradition of umbrella construction among the Rajputs in Jaisalmer (Rajasthan). The process of its construction started from the 8th century, the purpose of building these structures was to cherish the memories of the dead and to provide immortality to their memories. Along with this, there is a tradition of giving sustenance to the memories of the deceased among future generations, giving evidence of attachment towards dead souls and duty of children and devotion.nnThis chhatri is constructed on a rectangular platform at a height of five feet from the ground. The octagonal dome is situated on eight circular carved pillars. In the central part of the dome, a lotus shape is engraved which connects the Kalash and its eight parts to each other and is the part of the top.nnThe interior of the dome is carved and the outer part is circular. It is an example of Jaisalmer's architectural skills and beauty and beauty, which reflects its feeling and importance in future generations.
