Forts are always a five star. Mrugagad is a small fort requiring easy level endurance and having medium level difficulty. The route us easy and well marked. Initial trek goes through jungle, and then a steep climb will take you to a gully. This gully climb is a series of rocks above each other and is quite difficult to approach for a begginer. Further after the chimney climb, a series of rock cut steps take you to the citadel which has 4-5 water tanks, out of which only one has water, that too not potable (can be used in emergency situations).

Best location for a short and sweet trek through the dense forest.nnIt's a very small trek and can be done within 2.5 to 3 hours. It gives a mesmerizing view of surroundings and displays great landscapes.nnOne has to reach to the base village to began with this trek. Difficulty level is easy.
