Naturmuseum Senckenberg

For me one of the most fascinating places I have ever visited. Nature brought close, moving, amazing, stunning, controversial at times. Teach and show to your children, teach yourself, your friends....

Senckenberg Museum is the largest nature museum in Frankfurt, Germany.nSenckenberg has the largest exhibition of great dinosaurs in Europe. Also, the museum contains the largest and most diverse collection in the world, with around 2000 filled samples from birds. The museum has a large collection of dinosaur skeletons.nNearly 400,000 people visited the museum in 2004.nThe Senckenberg Museum was built between 1904 and 1907 outside the center of Frankfurt in the same area as the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University founded in 1914.

Would be better if dual languages were used for exhibits

The first time I visited this museum I really enjoyed it, but only after I visited the natural history museum of London did I realize what a gem is hiding in Frankfurt. Definitely much better than the London version, more organised, more interesting collection, bigger collection of certain types of animals...nNow they just need to find a way to hype it up as much as the London guys do ;)

An impressive place! Well worth a visit for young and old
