Awesome and beautiful temple . One must visit and explore the place. People can see various glaciers like chaukhamba and many more.
This temple has a heavenly surrounding.Though it is high altitude treak but not so long only 3 km from gate .Anybody can go by treaking or by pony ridding. A good hotel is being ready just at end point of pony ridding.Altitude is 3080 m approx.
Kartik Swami temple is located near Kanak Chauri village on Rudraprayag, Pokhari route in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. A mild 3k trek from Kanak Chauri village takes you to the stunning beauty of Kartik Swami temple.
Kartik swami Temple dedicated to elder son of lord Shiva , Kartikeya, who offered his bones as testimony of his devotion to his father.
Amazing place .must visit for all who are visiting kedarnath.2 hour drive from rudraprayag.amazing view.carry your own essentials water , food . Lack of toilet facilities though. If u r with family , keep a whole day. Trek is not arduous, gradual slope will take a hour though
