I'm sorry to say, but we didn't have a comfortable stay for 2 nights in this hotel. Reasons, listed below:nn1. The first and the foremost thing is parking. They don't have an indoor parking space. You need to park your car in the adjacent public street with no security.nn2. The rooms - we booked their deluxe room and trust me, the room was the smallest, tiniest ever room we've ever been to. The toilets were dirty, water clogging, smell of iron water. The list goes endless. The TV! They hadn't recharged their dish TV and hence we couldn't see TV. Upon multiple reminders, no action was taken to recharge the TV with sufficient balance.nn3. Ever heard of swimming pool inside a hotel being chargeable for their guests? Yes, you heard that right - the swimming pool was chargeable at Rs. 200 per person, per day. I'm not even considering Rs. 150 that you need to shell out to buy swimming costume from the hotel staff.nnThe only silver lining for our stay was the reasonably priced food in their restaurant.nnAll in all, a horrible, nightmarish stay in Hotel Royal Bengal. Nothing royal at all about this hotel. Trust me - you'll find far better hotels in and around Shantiniketan.nnFinal verdict - avoid this hotel at all costs

I only have my dinner one night. Ambience is good. Though quality of food is ok but it is overpriced.

Very efficient staff. Great hospitality. Keen attention to overall hygiene. Nice rooms. Great view and a beautiful lawn and garden. Some of the seasonal vegetables are procured from the farmhouse of their own.

Observations. 1 Behavior: Excellent. 2. Cleanness: Very good. 3.Food quality: Average. We suffered a lot on the last days lunch where we were served rotten rice (left over rice of the previous day)

Nice place. Stayed at room 105 and the view is nice from the balcony.nnGood place to stay for short trips, be it business or a getaway.nnPros:n1. Great service.n2. Good staff.n3. Room service available at affordable prices, and the food is great in terms of quality and quantity.n4. Clean and sanitized well.n5. Extension beyond checkout time is affordable, and they also have luggage storage facility beyond checkout times.nnCons:n1. Loud people in the corridors shout a lot, even at 3AM, even when requested to keep it quiet.n2. Bathrooms even though sanitised nicely, have some weird marks in the showers and toilets (not dirt, probably because they're just old)n3. WiFi is good and fast, but shuts down suddenly at times for 1-2 mins. If you need to work/meetings, be bring your own backup for those seconds.
