Years ago Swami Vivekananda stopped here during his travels and after swimming in the confluence of two rivers, Kosi and a mountain river called Suial, sat down for meditation beneath a Peepul Tree. Later he referred to that experience as life-changing and enlightenment giving. The Peepul tree is still seen and there is a small temple on the banks of the river. The place has immense historical and spiritual value because of the fact that Swami Vivekananda had meditated here.

Visit this place if you want to relax your mind, there is a river stream near the temple where you can relax. Also there is a very old bhodhi (बोधि वृक्ष) tree here.
