Government of Gujarat is creative to develop a 'managed' water rafting experience for tourists. The tourism agency has converted an existing small stream/creek into a water rafting stream by developing a water diverting structure. The water is let through these gates from Narmada Sarovar to facilitate the water rafting.

Godbole Gate Narmada canalnnHere show to...cool water with amazing sound...nnGodbole Gate essentially is a device to discharge surplus or Overhead water back to the narmada river River.nnand not to the Head Regulator of the canal. This arrangement of Gate is Automatically open when water goes to overhead.nnThis Gate open if water level of pound 3 & 4 increase then this Gate is Automatically open and release the water level in the pound.nThis Gate is currently hydraulic operated but previous time automatic operated.

This Godbole Gate is constructed to control flow of water in downstream reservoir.nIn civil engg. Terms its called chute spillway.nThe scene from here is extremly calming,and somewhat fearul too.nAs speed of water is high here u can listen to the calming music of nature through this water.

Nice experience to see this amazing water slope and it's sound..nnThough it's overflow gate from the Narmada canal.
