S.K. Guest House

This Guest House is very new and operating with just 3-4 rooms. The room which was alloted to me was pretty small in the price range but I would still recommend this place because the staff were very cooperative and hospitable. They arranged delicious food on request. They even called for an in-house bike repair mechanic to repair my bike. 5 on 5 for the staff behaviour. 3 for the facilities and 4 for the location and 4 overall. This is at a very nascent stage but showed a lot of potential for being a perfect host in future.

ud83dude0a - The owners are really nice people, rooms were clean, the bedsheet and blanket was clean. It was homely and location is quiet and quirky near Rampuria Havelis.nud83dude14 - No parking place as promised, the rooms were not at all sound proof. No ventilation. No T.V and open sewage smell in that area. They will charge you for soap also. Very narrow streets with no restaurant or medical shops nearly.

The rooms were neat and clean. Well done up infrastructure. Suitable for short stays/night stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Really a home stay.

Positive:nHospitality: I stayed in this property for two days and not even a single point in time I got disappointed. I got a warm welcome from owner. They helped us to park the car and helped us to take the luggage to the room.nFood: Food was awesome. I took only dinner(both days). It was one of the best dinners I had in recent times. first day I had “Paneer Butter Masala” and “Chicken Biryani”. Biryani was not so good(at least not as per my likings). But “Paneer Butter Masala” was so awesome that I again had it the next day. I also had “Chicken Curry” next day and that was also one of the best curries I ever had. I would give 10/10 for the food. ud83dude0anCleanliness: room/bathroom was very neat and clean.nHelping nature of host: Both Sameer and Shakeel helped us in all possible ways. When I got stuck(near Junagarh palace as it was no entry and google was still showing that way only) while coming to this guest house, they both came on bike to show us the alternative roads till guest house. He also gave me the bike to visit all the places in Bikaner as it was not possible to visit all those places by car due to very narrow streets. I visited all the places in Bikaner on that bike. Thanks to Sameer. (those who want to know if he charged for that? The answer is No, he did not charge anything for it). I visited Bikaner yesterday(20th Dec 2020) with my wife and one-year-old daughter. It is Covid time and Bikaner gets locked down after 7 PM. He helped me to get the food (oats) for the baby at night. Overall, he tries his best to help you in all salutations.nHomelike feeling: the guest house will give you home-like feeling where you do have access to a roof where you can dry your clothes if you choose to wash them by yourself.(on roof it is risky for kids as there is no grill at the front.)nBudget: I got the room for two days and it was very much under my budget.nnNegative:nLocation: this guest house is in old Bikaner where the streets are very narrow. If you are going by car, it will be challenging to reach the location if you are not a good driver.nSize of room: Room/Bathroom is just alright. They are neither very big nor very small. If you are looking for big hotel rooms, perhaps this is not for you.nNo wifi: you do not get wifi(at least at the time when I stayed here). But as I already said that the host is very helpful, so he offered me the Jio Hotspot from his mobile. Though I did not require it as I do have Airtel postpaid connection. If you are someone who requires high-speed internet, I would say please check once with the owner in advance.
